Tax Relief for Missourians: Luann has been a strong supporter of fair tax policies for Missouri families and small businesses. She has voted consistently to eliminate waste, fraud and abuse in state government. This year in the Legislature, Luann successfully fought to abolish the double taxation on Social Security benefits for our seniors.

Small Business Incentives & Job Protection: As a small business owner, Luann understands the burdens that Missouri entrepreneurs must face. She also understands that when small businesses are given the freedom to prosper, new jobs are created in our communities. Luann has worked hard to make Missouri a place where employers are able to offer quality jobs with long-term security.

Health Care Accessibility and Affordability: Luann was a leader in passing tort reform in Missouri--bringing a screeching halt to the frivolous lawsuits that were driving doctors out of our state. Luann is committed to making healthcare more affordable for everyone and making sure that quality care is a reality for working class Missourians.

Improving Public Education: Education is a top priority for Luann--fully funding the new education formula and making college affordable for Missouri families. Just this year, Luann made sure that over $50 million in new funding was available for college scholarships.

Illegal Immigration Reform: Luann strongly believes that no taxpayer funded benefits should go to illegal immigrants. She also supports reform that encourages safety, unity and successful integration into our culture and community.

Tough on Crime: Luann has a long-standing record of cracking down on criminals that prey on our communities and threaten our way of life. She has been a strong voice to mandate sentences for child predators and sex offenders. Luann was also a leader in addressing the meth epidemic that was rampantly taking over our state.

Transportation: Improving Missouri's roads and bridges has always been a leading priority for Luann. Luann strongly believes that MoDOT should be held accountable for responsibly using taxpayer dollars in the best way possible.

Protecting Innocent Life & Women's Health: Just this year, Luann voted to increase funding for life-affirming alternatives to abortion--like adoption. Luann was instrumental in guiding the passage of the Women's Health Care Protection Act, a bill she pioneered years before. This Act mandates that abortion clinics meet the same safety standards as ambulatory surgical centers.
